Makupaletit edellisvuonna valloittanut simakilpailu on löytänyt tiensä jälleen Käpylän lippakioskille sopivasti simasesongin kuumimpaan aikaan. Maan parhaasta simasta kilpaillaan vappupäivänä 1.5.2026 klo 17:00

Karaistuneimmat simamaakarit eivät aikapaineesta hätkähdä.

THE GREAT SIMA COMPETITIONS IS BACK!!!

The beloved sima competition has once again found its way to the Käpylän lippakiska, right in the peak of sima season. Competition for the best sima is held on the 1st of May at 17:00

Time is relatively short, but as you know, seasoned sima makers don’t get shaken by a little time pressure. So let’s not waste any time:

Rules of the Grand Sima Competition:

🍾 Create your best interpretation of this festive drink. You must use yeast and lemon as ingredients. All other ingredients and the recipe are entirely up to the participant.
🍾 Test the safety of your drink before the competition day to ensure the judges’ well-being.
🍾 Bring at least 5 dl of your drink for tasting to the Käpylä kiosk by May 1st at 17:00.
🍾 Celebrate your victory at the peak of joy—or lose bitterly to more skilled competitors.

This years prices are EVEN MORE JOYFUL!!!

The rules of the yeast-filled carnival, which will be held on May 1st, are simple:

When judging the competition drink, the jury takes into account not only the taste, but also the visual appearance of the bottle, the name, the story and the general inventiveness.
