MY FUNERAL

My Funeral is a '90s influenced old school thrash metal band formed in 2005 from Jyväskylä, Finland.

First the band searched its style with two demos of more or less Melodic Death Metal.
After these two demos, the band decided to record the "Death-EP". The EP presented band's new style of thrash metal.

At the same time the band got good reviews from band competitions and from the media.
In Autumn 2009 the band booked a studio to record their debut album.

The debut album was recorded in January 2010 and it was released in November 2010.
After the debut album the band did some touring around Finland.

In the very beginning of year 2011, the band started to make new songs to their second album. In the summer of the same year the second guitarist quit the band and when the new one was found, the bass player departed.

The band practiced and made new songs and quickly they made the desicion to continue by just the four of them.

In October and November 2012 the band recorded their second album "Thrash Destruction". To promote the album, the band toured Finland but this time also abroad in Balkan and Estonia area.

Third full length album "Violence Academy" was published in March 2015. With the album, the band feels like they've finally found their own style.
The album received good feedback especially its great melodies.
Again, besides the concerts in Finland, the band did a DIY tour in East Europe. 10 days and 9 gigs brought increasingly improving feedback from the audiences.
