ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE (UK)
Anti-Nowhere League are true legends, but at the same time not your typical English punks. The band has over and over proved they could be the worst band on Gods earth. Loud, violent and obnoxious yobbos with one mission: to get banned from every TV show, radio station and newspapers - just for a laugh.

The debut single was "Streets of London", with B-side "So What", released in 1981. It reached number 48 in the UK charts and would have probably got higher, but the British police seize all copies of it from the bands distributor under the Obscene Publications Act due to the infamous B-side.
"So What" has since become the band's anthem, and has been covered by Metallica who play the track regularly to this day in concert.

This was followed up by their influential debut album "We are...the League" (1982). After their "Live in Yugoslavia" album the band split at the end of the 1980's, leaving the scene with the live album "Live Animals".
Since reforming in the beginning of the 1990's they have released brilliant albums such as "The Horse is Dead", "Pig Iron - The Album", "The Road to Rampton" and many more. In 2017 the Anti-Nowhere League released their latest album "League Style (Loosen Up)" which includes their own unique take on classic ska & reggae tunes.

Anti-Nowhere League reflects the frustration, anger and eroding idealism of early punk with raw energy, humor and visceral rage. It's loud, it's obnoxious, it's obscene...it's the League!

PUFFBALL (SWE)
Swedish fast playing rock band formed in 1995. They have released five albums with furious mad dog petrol burning rock'n'roll and participated on numerous compilations. Puffball is much in the vein of bands like Zeke, Supersuckers and Motörhead - but faster and more energetic. The band disbanded in 2005, but never really split. Since then Puffball has showed up at only a few events of their choice. And Helsinki Punk Rock Day is one of them.

If you are ready for some fast and furious rock and roll played with reckless abandon (yet deadly accuracy), then Puffball is your band!

RATFACE (FIN)
The one and only sauna killaz since 2006.

The singer MC Respektor tells the story about the afterparty after Ratface's ever first show:
It was the first night at Jolles (Spiders brother) new crib. Yeah, he moved in the very same day. And yeah, the first warning from the neighbours came that night. At first, Jolle fell on his face with his hands in his pockets at frontyard steps. Fucked up forehead, blood, and pain. (There's still a fine round scar on his forehead.) Some synchronized air drumming á la Forcemän Brothers. Death Metal. Neighbours. Booze?! Cheap vodka from Russia? Jokes 'n funny stories? Dont know, but I woke up handcuffed, hands behind my back, with someone elses underwear on - they were wrongway around, off course. There was also a lady who got dizzy and fell over, leaving a fine line of make-up on a wall, like a rainbow and a pile of shoes in the end of it. What else? Thats all I remember.

THE PISTONES (FIN)
A four piece band formed in Helsinki, Finland, in 2009. The band's music is a good mix of punk, mod, Oi! and classic rock & roll. They have released three 7" EPs and one full lenght album. The Pistones are a great live band well-known for their energetic and tight playing, and catchy tunes.
