Sub35 Meditation and Seminar: Encountering the Existential Situation
Hinta: We suggest a donation of 30-40 euros for the day. However, there is no set price and you can give what you can.
Ajankohdat:
Tapahtumasta:
Come and join other young people (age 16 to 35) interested in meditation and Buddhism! The day will include teaching, meditation, and discussion. Come along whether you're new to Buddhism and meditation or have been practicing for a while!
During the day we will be learning about the ancient Dhaniya Sutta, where we meet the farmer Dhaniya. He’s wealthy, has the ‘perfect partner’ and a comfortable home. Basically he feels like he's 'got it all' in life.
Dhaniya then comes face to face with the Buddha, and finds himself in an exchange with the Enlightened individual in the midst of what he thinks of as his security.
Come and join us as we find out what the Buddha has to say to Dhaniya. Over the day we'll investigate the existential situations we find ourselves in, and our relationship with accumulation and renunciation. Together we’ll start to discover how we can shape our lives to go beyond the mundane and begin to encounter Enlightenment.
The event starts at 10:30 and ends at 14:00.
After the event, come along and join us for lunch!
We'll meet in Töölön kirjasto, ryhmätila 1 (in the basement).
This event is run on a donation basis. We suggest a donation of 30-40 euros for the day. However, there is no set price and you can give what you can.
