The powerful and soulful vocalist Montenia makes her yearly appearance at the Storyville on April 11th until 13th.
She is accompanied by the trio that was on her 1999 CD "Each and Every Day" which was recorded live at the Storyville. The trio consists of Lasse Hirvi on piano (Riitta Paakki on Saturday), Tomi Parkkonen
on drums, and, of course, Wade on bass.
The songs include rarely heard compositions by Abbey Lincoln, and great standards arranged by Nancy Wilson's pianist Llew Matthews. It will be three grand nights of SWINGING!!!

New Orleans Rhythm Gang koottiin vuoden 2010 lopulla alan parhaista osaajista. Jengillä oli kysyntään, sillä New Orleans -jazzia soittavia
kokoonpanoja ei Suomessa montaa toimi. Kaikki soittajat ovat tuttuja mm. dixieland -musiikin parista mutta kaikki he myös haluavat toteuttaa tätä rytmisesti harteikaampaa ja melodisesti alkuvoimaisempaa New Orleans jazzia - svengimusiikin rock 'n rollia.

Ilkka Virto - trumpet
Matti Iiramo - trombone
Birger Lindström - clarinet
Jukka Järvelä - banjo
Robi de Godzinsky - piano
Pekka Sarmanto - bass
Petteri Hasa - drums
