Charismatic, sexy and lyrically lethal are words used to describe the #1 female dancehall artist Spice.

Born Grace Hamilton, she grew up in the crushing poverty of the Old Braeton community in Portmore, St. Catherine. Spice eventually graduated from school with eight subjects and immediately enrolled at the Edna Manley School for the Visual and Performing Arts to study voice and drama.

However, she soon began to experiment with deejaying and in no time, she generated interest in with her musical abilities at local stage shows. Spice began to gain a reputation for her blistering lyrics, high energy and risqué stage performances.

At Sting 2000 she delivered an excellent performance in front of Stings usually acerbic crowd and earned four encores. That night a dancehall star was born.

She then released one of her biggest local hits, Fight Ova Man, which created major waves in the dancehall. Spice continued to perform, earning a reputation as one of dancehall's most consistent artistes.

The collaboration hit Ramping Shop with Vybz Kartel became a fixture on the Billboard charts. The musical force ruled the airwaves for months and catapulted Spice to the top of the dancehall arena and in early 2009, she won the EME award for "Female Deejay of the Year". Spice also walked away with "Best Female Performer", "Female Deejay of the Year" and "Young Hot and Hype Female Deejay" at the YVA Awards. And the rest is history.

Spice continues to drop hit songs and is now considered the hottest female dancehall artist. Spice has earned much respect as the queen of stage shows, always delivering a show to remember .
