Helsinki Script 2019
Helsinki Script - the international creative day already recommended by celebrated speakers from 15 countries, is back Friday 6th of September 2019.
Among the guests are British creator Michael Hirst (Vikings, Tudor) the master of making the past relevant in the present, Belgian writer Sanne Nuyens, who in 2016 renewed the crime genre with “Hotel Beau Sejour” and in 2019 won the Cannes series script award for her new series “Twelve”. From Poland we welcome Dariusz Jab?o?ski, the director, producer and CEO who has worked with Krzysztof Kieslowski and today is known for his co-productions with BBC and others. We are also happy to take a special look at the most interesting new Scandinavian series, the Estonian drama series revival and at Finnish high end series.
How are real life experiences of the writer or other persons best fictionalized? The good news at the hot drama series markets is that depth sells. To travel a story needs to matter. The series must be unique but also go deep. How are complex characters and multilayered stories created when writing alone or in international writers rooms? How do actors help develop their long running characters?
The very reasonable ticket price includes lunch and coffee.
