DANCETERIA & WE LIKE - United
Grand Opening w/ BASTO (BE) and RENE AMESZ (NL) 4.10.2013

Autumn is time for change and all things new! One of the biggest changes for clubbing in Helsinki this year is the fusion of two of the biggest Finnish club brands Danceteria and WE LIKE. This will move these hugely popular nights under one roof to the biggest Scandinavian night club Tivoli. Danceteria & WE LIKE - United concept will include two dance floors of different styles. The Danceteria stage will focus on most relevant dance acts of today, and WE LIKE will provide you with the best trademark underground house vibe in R3D room. You could say that every night will be like a mini festival!

On the opening weekend we get to enjoy the performances of one of the biggest names in the EDM scene at the moment, BASTO, who will take control of the Danceteria stage. The star of the WE LIKE stage is RENE AMESZ who is known for both his quality tech house releases and his DJ residency at the legendary club Space in Ibiza.

You can hear the excitement of the Danceteria & WE LIKE owner Heikki L: "I must say that this will be something truly spectacular, when two of the most well known club brands are taking over the best nightclub in Helsinki. It will be like a miniature festival each night! We are aiming at getting all the best DJs from around the world to perform at our nights, and are truly rising the standards of modern clubbing in Finland."

"The grand opening of the first season will take place on the 4th of October with no less than Basto and Rene Amesz", says the new Danceteria resident DJ Lovetone." WE LIKE resident DJ Upi adds: "By adding the brightest local acts to our line-ups we are basically taking the whole club scene of Helsinki under our control for one night at a time!"

Danceteria is one of the oldest still active club brands in Scandinavia and the Baltic region. What was started by the legendary Mr. A over a decade ago as a small gay club grew into a constantly sold out club night in the heart of Helsinki. On top of that Danceteria has been hosting stages on festivals, arranging nights in party capitals such as Stockholm, Sweden and Tallinn, Estonia, and even running a record label with dozens of successful releases.

Belgian kirkkain elektronisen tanssimusiikin tähti on Basto. Suuri yleisö tutustui häneen ensimmäisenä "Gregory's Theme"- kappaleen kautta. Kunnianosoituksena Hugh Laurien esittämälle lakoniselle TV-hahmolle, Gregory Houselle, sävelletystä kappaleesta tuli valtava kansainvälinen tanssihitti, osittain sitä radio-ohjelmassaan runsaasti soittaneen Pete Tongin ansiosta. Hänen viimeisin superhittinsä on "I Rave You". Kappaleen video on kerännyt kuluneen vuoden aikana lähes kuusi miljoona katsojaa Youtubessa sekä soinut jokaisen huippu DJ:n festarikeikoilla Yhdysvalloista Etelä-Afrikkaan.

Tämäkään ei Bastolle vielä riittänyt, ja hänen menestyneimmästä tuotannnostaan tuli yksi vuoden 2013 suurimmista hiteistä. Baston "Lazy Jay"- nimellä tuottama Will.I.Am ja Britney Spears- kappale "Scream & Shout" on kerännyt Youtubessa huikeat 64.000.000 katselukertaa, ja myynyt kultaa jo useissa maissa.

Rotterdamista kotoisin oleva René Amesz on yks House skenen tämän hetken kiinnostavimpia nimiä. Tällä hetkellä Mark Knightin Toolroom Recordsille kiinnitetty René on tehtaillut tanssilattian räjäyttäjiä vuosituhannen alusta saakka ja remixannut huippuartisteja kuten Danny Tenaglia, D. Ramirez, Nic Fanciulli, Laidback Luke ja Roger Sanchez. Viimeisimpänä hittinä juuri julkaistu remix legendaarisesta Mark Knight & Funkagendan "Man With The Red Face" klassikosta.

René Amesz on myös yksi maansa kiireisimpiä DJ:tä tällä hetkellä. Keikkakalenteri ulottuu Australiasta Venäjälle ja Lontoosta Singaporeen unohtamatta kotimaansa suurimpia festivaaleja. Tämä on jokaiselle underground soundin seuraajalle "must check" artisti tänä syksynä!
