Tun Up Loud! International Sound Nights Pt.3: Black Chiney (Jam/usa) Feat. Willy Chin & English Fire, ke 28.5.
Black Chiney is a world famous Jamaican sound system based in Miami, Florida. It consists of Supa Dups, Bobby Chin, Willy Chin, Walshy Killa and English Fire. The Caribbean slang "Black Chiney" refers to a racial mix.
Highly respected for their productions, remixes, mixtapes, clashes and last but not least juggling at events around the world, Black Chiney is now reaching Finland for the very first time. Prepare for a night of musical madness and dancehall culture at its realest!
Black Chiney history:
When Supa and Chin left Poison Dart in the late 90's they began collaborating and produced many dancehall/hip-hop mixtapes. In 1999 the first mixtape entitled Black Chiney 1 - Enter The Dragon was released and sold in large numbers. When Miami's DJ Khaled heard their mixtapes, he asked them to produce more.
Black Chiney enjoyed much success in Jamaica and the rest of the world as a result of the mixtapes, but they also earned respect from the sound clashes they took part in.
In 2002, at an annual event in Jamaica dubbed Fully Loaded, the reigning "king" Tony Matterhorn lost the sound clash against Black Chiney. In a rematch later that year in Miami, Matterhorn would be defeated by Black Chiney once again. Since then Black Chiney has continued to be one of the royal sounds of the international dancehall scene.
Founder Supa Dups is now a Grammy Award winning producer for his work with Eminem and was nominated for another Grammy with Bruno Mars.
