FRWRD - a sound system club brought to you by Ivah Sound, made for passionate bass music and sound system lovers. With influences from the sound system cultures of Jamaica and The United Kingdom they combine music with a heavyweight sound. FRWRD brings the party to a crowd hungry for mesmerizing experiences with performers both from Finland and abroad.

This time we give you two stages, with two sound systems. Inside we will have Tes La Rok as our guest. He will be playing a special, reggae influenced set that is guaranteed to feed your sub level cravings and move your dancing feet! The warm up will be delivered by Mr Krabbs from the German Dogtown Hi-Fi. Later Top Shelf DJ’s will be delivering the best of jungle and drum & bass for the end of the night. There won’t be any lack of bass outside either; on the terrace we’re excited to have Intergalaktik Sound System, Nestori and Selecta Andor who will be selecting the best of roots and dub reggae music for the whole night, delivered through Intergalaktiks stack of speakers.

Tes La Rok is a dubstep DJ and music producer from Helsinki, Finland. He was one of the first international names to break through in the scene, and has been featured on a variety of albums such as Steppa's Delight, Dubstep Allstars 5, Mary-Anne Hobbs' Evangeline and Mixmag 25 Year Anniversary Mix by Laurent Garnier.
He is also the owner of Noppa Recordings, a dubstep label featuring some of the most innovative artists from around the world.

For the past decade, Tes La Rok has been one of the pioneers of Helsinki underground culture. He has had a hand in running respected raves such as Slam It, Soulfuel, Back 2 Bass and Sub.

His first ever record was released on Audio Couture (sister label of Moving Shadow) in 1998 - under the moniker Dice with his partner in crime Dharma1. A few years later, it was Dharma1 who introduced UK garage & broken-beats to Tes La Rok.

Tes La Rok released his remix of Uncle Sam's Round The World Girls on Argon Records in 2007. It quickly achieved anthem status, being played in dance clubs everywhere. For the dubstepforum.com 2007 awards, it won 'Best 12"'. Tes La Rok is one to watch - he is leading the way into the future of dubstep music with his enthusiasm and hard work.

Intergalaktik Sound System is a roots sound system and record label hailing from Helsinki.
It was founded in 2005, by a group of friends and long time reggae enthusiasts, who have all been active in the Finnish reggae scene for years.

Intergalaktik Sound System’s musical selection consists of rootical music, from 60’s until today, from ska to digital roots, from Jamaica to UK and outernational. During the years, Intergalaktik has actively played sessions both in Finland and abroad.

Intergalaktik is also one of the most prolific reggae labels in Finland. The record label’s first release was Leave It To Jah by Nestori in 2007, which also received international recognition. It has been followed by 8 other releases on the label so far, most recent ones being More We Want by Jahvice and Youths Must Rise by Ricky Benz. There is plenty of new material in the pipeline, which can be heard only at Intergalaktik Sound System sessions for now.

This dreadlocked dj from Bassoradio is a frequent visitor in Jamaica and has been delivering the reggae message for ten years in Finland and abroad. Andor is known for his super energetic and well built selections accompanied with mic talk and his ability to connect different people with the music. Selecta Andor's Reggae Stomp club is one of Helsinki's best known reggae clubs.

A proud friend and supporter of Ivah Sound, Mr Krabbz brings some rootikal vibes to warm up this FRWRD session. Coming from the Black forest of Germany, he has been building speakers, mixing live, recorded music (and dubplates), and of course spinning vinyl for one and a half decade as a founding member of Dogtown Hi-Fi.

Top Shelf is a drum & bass collective consisting of two members; Prospero and Trey. They first started actively DJ’ing around 2011 and have come a long way since. Both driven by the love of drum & bass, they decided to put their heads together to bring you a combination of styles and selections. Ranging from deep dark and dirty, raggamuffin jungle slammers, all the way to liquid rolling bliss. Expect full energy sets, back to back madness, and a full spectrum of all drum & bass styles and exclusive material from Finland and all around the world.

Ivah Sound is a sound system and DJ collective formed in Helsinki during early 2010. The collective consists of six members, MC’s and DJ’s. United by a common passion for heavy bass music, with styles ranging all the way from roots reggae to steppers, jungle and drum & bass.

Their music is delivered by a mighty self-built sound system, constantly evolving as the team creates new additions to their arsenal of speakers.
